Widely considered by the Sonic fan community as one of the best Sonic games ever, Sonic CD went beyond what Sonic Team intended and became a facemark in classic Sonic series.
The game was intended originally to be a port of Sonic 1 to the Sega CD, with added CD music and digital effects. The project grew in a different direction.
Sporting a time travel mechanic, you strive to defeat Dr. Robotnik (Eggman in Japan) and free the Little Planet (a planet that appears from time to time, which Eggman has chained to our world) from his hands. You have to travel thru past, present and future to fight Robotnik's newest contraption: Metal Sonic.
This is the first appearance of Sonic's self-proclaimed girlfriend, Amy Rose, before she became a common character in recent Sonic games.
An absolutely stunning game, with awesome graphics, sound and gameplay, it came and went very unnoticed by a lot of players, but to Sonic fans everywhere, this game still rocks.

Download PakkISO 0.4 (Recommended) - PakkISO is *even better* than ECM tools because it automates everything. Download and install, and then simply right click on the game folder and select 'Unpack ISO' or drag and drop the game's folder onto unpakkIso.exe. The program will automate all the steps for you. It will unECM the files and decompress the APE files too, to give you a .BIN which you can then mount and play! You will need this for our PAL SegaCD ISOs.
